ย ๐‹๐ž๐ก, ๐ƒ๐ž๐œ๐ž๐ฆ๐›๐ž๐ซ ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ’, ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ’: Bhupesh Chaudhary, IAS, Administrative Secretary and Managing Director of SIDCO, chaired an introductory and review meeting with officials of the board at his office chamber in the Agriculture Office, Leh.

The meeting commenced with a detailed presentation by Sonam Norboo, Senior Manager, SIDCO, who provided an overview of the organizationโ€™s structure, functions, and operations. The presentation highlighted various divisions of SIDCO, including Transport, Energy Hub, Small Scale Industries Development Corporation Limited (SICOP), SC/ST & OBC Corporation, the Project Wing, and the SIDCO Head Office.

During the review, Secretary Chaudhary assessed the performance of the divisions and emphasized the need for enhanced revenue generation, particularly in the transport sector. He instructed officials to devise strategies and actionable plans to revitalize the Projects Wing, underscoring the importance of identifying and developing profitable routes to strengthen SIDCOโ€™s financial stability.

The Secretary further directed a focused approach toward comprehensive monitoring and efficient functioning of all divisions to position SIDCO as a key driver of economic development in Ladakh.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Safdar Ali, General Manager (Finance), SIDCO; Sonam Norboo, Senior Manager, SIDCO; Er. Tashi Namgyal, Executive Engineer, SIDCO; Dr. Owais Qadir Jaan, Accounts Officer, SIDCO; Stanzen Pasang, District Manager, SIDCO (SC/ST & OBC Wing); and Er. Mohd Hussain, Traffic Manager, SIDCO. Officials stationed outside Leh joined the meeting virtually.
