𝐕𝐢𝐤𝐬𝐢𝐭 𝐁𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐚𝐥𝐩 𝐘𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐚 𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐩 𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐭 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐭 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐲 (𝐀) 𝐨𝐟 𝐛𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐤 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐤𝐬𝐞𝐲
LEH, 𝐃𝐞𝐜ember 𝟗: The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra camp was organised today at Panchayat Shey (A) of Block Thiksey.
The event was graced by the presence of Development Commissioner and State Prabhari Officer for UT Ladakh, Bipin Menon as the chief guest. Besides, Councillor Thiksey, Block Development Council, Chairperson, Naib Sarpanch, Panch were present during the program.
Addressing the gathering, Bipin Menon emphasized the primary goal of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, which is to saturate various developmental schemes in villages. He expressed hope that the local residents would derive maximum benefits from these initiatives, promoting holistic growth in the region.
Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Leh, Sonam Nurboo shed light on the extensive outreach efforts of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, covering 45-46 panchayats so far. He highlighted the scheme’s objective of bringing various departmental initiatives directly to the people, ensuring they reap the advantages offered.
During the event, the importance of key schemes such as the golden card and Health card under the Health Department, PM Vishwakarma under the Industry Department, Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Pension Scheme, and the significance of birth certificates and Aadhaar cards were underscored. Nurboo stressed the collective responsibility of every department to focus on the successful implementation of these schemes in villages.
Nodal Officer, BDO Thiksay, Tsering Wangchuk provided a detailed introduction to the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra program, emphasizing its goal of saturating villages with the benefits of various schemes. He briefed the participants on schemes such as MG-NREGA, Rural Connectivity, and Swachh Bharat Mission Gramin.
Government officials from departments including Agriculture, Medical, Animal Husbandry, and PHE shared insights into their respective schemes. The participants took the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra pledge, and a live message and video from Prime Minister Narendra Modi were screened during the program.
The occasion also featured a cultural program presented by students from Government High School Shey. Naib Sarpanch, Rigzen Dorjay was honored with the ODF+ certificate and Abhinandan Patra under the PHE Department.
Also, various departments, including Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, Social and Welfare, Agriculture, Medical, and Ladakh Rural Livelihood Mission, provided on-the-spot services related to various schemes, facilitating direct interaction with the villagers.
The event saw the presence of officials from various departments and Nambardar.
