07 Days Divisional level Training programme under (NBHM) on Scientific Beekeeping concludes at Lalmandi Srinagar

Programme aimed to provide practical training to the Participants & equip them with necessary skill in Beekeeping

SRINAGAR, September 18: The seven days Divisional level training programme on Scientific Beekeeping under National Bee-keeping and Honey Mission (NBHM) organised by the department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Kashmir concluded today at Agriculture Complex Lalmandi Srinagar.

The concluding session was attended by Joint Director Extension, Joint Director Inputs, Director Rakhs and Farms, Chief Agriculture Officer Srinagar, Assistant entomologist, Beekeepers, students and other stakeholders.

Speaking at the concluding session, Director Agriculture Kashmir, Chowdhury Mohammad Iqbal expressed satisfaction and asked the participants to take maximum benefits from what they have learnt from the training programme and implement the latest technologies on their own units.

He said such programmes are aimed to provide practical training to the participants and equip them with necessary skills in Beekeeping.

Director Agriculture said that there is a vast potential in small scale agriculture cottage industries including Bee-keeping, Mushroom cultivation and other allied activities in the overall development of the agriculture sector.

He highlighted the importance of organising such training programmes and impressed upon the concerned to make such efforts in coming times and ensure that more and more educated youth take part in such training programmes and benefit from the departmental initiatives.

Later, a certificate distribution ceremony took place where the certificates were awarded to the trainees who completed the programme successfully.
