11 Companies participate in job fair at Kulgam
KULGAM, AUGUST 12: In an endeavour to provide a suitable and convenient platform to the educated unemployed youth/Job seekers and facilitate their interaction with the Private Companies and Employers for training, skilling and placement, District Employment & Counselling Centre (DE&CC) Kulgam today organised One day Job Fair in the premises of DE&CC Kulgam under “Azadi ka Amrit Mohotsav, Meri Maati Mera Desh Celebrations”.
The Job fair was inaugurated by Additional District Development Commissioner Kulgam, Showkat Ahmad Rather in presence of Assistant Director Employment, DE&CC Kulgam Nowshad Anjum.
11 Private Companies and Skill Development Organisations operating in Education, Finance, Skill Development, Agriculture, Automobile and Insurance sectors including Team BDI Pvt. Ltd, Ilena Technologies, Green Planet Bio-products, WizKids Edu-corp,Think & Win Technologies, Vision Engineering Pvt. Ltd, JKCSMS Management & Protective Services Pvt. Ltd, Bharti Airtel, Reliance Nippon Life Insurance Corporation Ltd, Nivia Bupa Health Insurance Company, Wizkid Educorp, Alfalah Motors and M/S Planet Spark participated in the event with around 360 vacancies.
On the occasion stalls were also installed by Govt. line departments including District Industries Centre, Sheep Husbandry Department, Animal Husbandry Department, Fisheries, KVIB, Handloom & Handicrafts Department, Women Development Corporation, SC/ST/OBC Development Corporation, JKRLM, Lead Bank Kulgam and the concerned Resource persons also disseminated the information about their respective schemes and programmes.
The event saw an overwhelming response from the Job seekers and companies.
ADDC Kulgam visited the stalls and interacted with the participating youth and representatives of private companies.
While addressing the youth, the ADDC Kulgam emphasized upon them to come out of the traditional mind set up and participate in such kinds of events to extend their horizons of vision and wisdom.
He advised the participants to upgrade their skills as per the Job market demand/trends and enhance their chances of employment. Assistant Director Employment also addressed the job-seekers and urged them to get themselves registered on J&K Employment Portal (www.jakemp.nic.in) which has been integrated with NCS portal so as to have an access and avail multiple cost free services like online counseling, Video Resume making, Skill training, Job matching and job notifications related to vacancies put up by private and public sector employers pan India.
The CEO’s/Managing Directors and representatives of the participating private sector establishments also spoke on the occasion and acquainted the participants regarding the job opportunities, skill development and employment oriented courses offered by these companies.
04 Unemployed youth were provided on spot offer letter and 171 fresh registrations were made. The Programme was moderated by Career Counselling Officer, DE&CC Kulgam. Job seekers expressed their deep gratitude to the organisers of the event for providing them a suitable platform to interact with the Job providers.
