1247 Cases Settled at Udhampur Lok Adalat

Rs. 9644909 realized in different cases, settled on spot

UDHAMPUR, JANUARY 11:  In Compliance to the directions of Jammu & Kashmir Legal Services Authority, a National Lok Adalat was today organized by District Legal Services Authority Udhampur under the directions of Chairman District Legal Services Authority Udhampur, Haq Nawaz Zargar (Pr. District & Sessions Judge Udhampur).

A total 06 benches were constituted in the District. Bench No. 1 Comprised of Haq Nawaz Zargar (Pr. District & Sessions Judge) Udhampur, Dinesh Gupta, Additional District & Sessions Judge, Udhampur & Adv. Mohammad Shaffi Udhampur; Bench no 2 Comprised of Manoj Parihar, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Udhampur, Vishal Bharti, District Mobile Magistrate (T), Udhampur & J.D. Slathia, President Bar Association Udhampur; Bench no. 3 comprised of Slahuddin Ahmed, Sub-Judge/Special Mobile Magistrate, Udhampur, Bhanu Bhasin, Additional Special Mobile Magistrate, Udhampur & Adv. Vijay Lakshmi Udhampur; Bench no.4 Comprised of Samriti Sharma (Chairman TLSC) Ramnagar & Adv. K.D. Sharma, Ramnagar; Bench no. 5 comprised of Madhu Sharma, (Chariman TLSC) Majalta & Adv. Mohan Lal Gupta (Panel Lawyer) Majalta; Bench No. 6 Comprised of Rekha Sharma, (Munsiff JMIC) Chenani & Adv. Balwan Singh (Panel Lawyer) Chenani.

 A total 1447 cases of different nature were taken up , out of which 1247 cases were settled on the spot.

The total Amount of Rs 9644909 was realized in different cases settled on the spot.  An amount of Rs 7665000 was awarded as compensation in MACT Cases, while Rs 35200 was realised in the compoundable cases.
