145 Rajouri youth shortlisted for Job Placement at Mega Job Fair

RAJOURI, SEPTEMBER 25: District Employment and Counseling Center (DECC) Rajouri in collaboration with the district administration organised a mega job fair (Rozgar Mela) in Dak Bungalow today. The event witnessed a major attendance as more than 400 unemployed youth from different areas of the district converged at the venue.
The pivotal job fair was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal. The event commenced with inspection of the departmental stalls by the Deputy Commissioner, during which he engaged in insightful conversations with both job providers and job seekers.
Qadeer Ul Rehman, Deputy Director of Employment and Mukhlis Ali, Assistant Director informed that it is the sixth job fair organized in the district and all the events received overwhelming response from both those in pursuit of employment opportunities and the companies eager to provide the same. A comprehensive market survey was conducted, resulting in a remarkable 506 vacancies that were zealously publicized through different channels, including social and print media, to attract unemployed youth to the promising job fair.
An impressive number of 32 companies participated in the Job Fair, and selected and shortlisted 145 candidates for different positions.
Deputy Director Qadeer Ul Rehman also took the opportunity to enlighten the job seekers about the numerous self-employment schemes offered by Mission Youth and other relevant government departments.
Demonstrating his unwavering commitment to the cause, Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal urged the departments to maximize the benefits of self-employment schemes for the unemployed youth, while also directing the participating companies to prioritize the recruitment of as many jobless individuals as possible.
To provide the youth avenues for a brighter future, the Deputy Commissioner announced that the next job fair would be held within two months. He motivated the Deputy Director Employment to redouble his efforts for connecting job givers and job seekers.
