17 including 5 cops arrested, 2 kg narcotics seized as police bust major drug racket in Kashmir

KASHMIR Dec 23: In a major operation launched against the drug smuggling cases, J&K Police 17 persons, including 5 policemen, a political activist, a Contractor & a shopkeeper from different areas of Kupwara & Baramulla, unearthing another narcotics smuggling module originating from Pakistan. Police also seized 2kg of Heroin like narcotics substance.

Speaking regarding the incident, DGP Dilbagh Singh said that Action will be taken against all those found involved in such activities, irrespective of the department they belong to. We have to face this challenge of drugs in the same way as we faced the challenge of terrorism, he added. (ANI)
