2- Day Wildlife Week Celebrations Ended in CUJ

 JAMMU 6 Oct : The final day of the two-day Wildlife Week Celebrations (5^th and 6^th October) 2023 was celebrated with great enthusiasm by the Department of Zoology, Central University of Jammu under the patronage of Honourable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Sanjeev Jain.

The faculty along with the students went for a ‘natural trail walk’ in the campus to explore the local flora and fauna. Competitions such as sketching of wildlife, on spot panel discussions and oral presentations were held in the department. These events were followed by the valedictory function where the winners were announced by Dr. Ashok Kumar Yadav, Head, Department of Zoology.

The winners in various categories were Nahila Tabassum in ‘Mimic like an animal’, Shalini Khajuria in ‘Wildlife dress up’. Manvi and Asma in “Greeting Card/Bookmark Making”. Neha and Diksha, (from department of Botany) in “Face/Body Painting competition”. Apurva Bhati (Wildlife Sketching), Shalini Gupta and Ananya Mahajan (Quiz competition), Vikas Kumar (Oral Presentation). Akanksha Sharma and Samya (Panel discussion).
