2 drug peddlers held with 8.30 gm Heroin at Hatli, truck seized

KATHUA; 26 JULY 2023: Police team of PP Hatli successfully apprehended two individuals with 8.30 grams of Heroin (Chitta) like narcotics in Hatli area along with one truck was seized in this connection.

On 25 July 2023 acting on credible information, the dedicated police team of PP Hatli intercepted a truck with Registration numberJK08A-9788 which was being driven by a person namely Vishavdeep Singh R/o Ward No. 14 Kathua who was along with his accomplice namely Ranjeet Singh R/o Ward No.08 Kathua, were suspected to be involved in the illicit trade of Heroin like narcotics and en route from Rajbagh towards Kathua. During checking of the vehicle at Link Road Hatli, the police team was able to seize approximately 8.30 grams of heroin-like narcotics from the possession of two persons namely 1. Ranjeet Singh S/o Surjan R/o Ward No. 08 Kathua 2. Vishavdeep Singh S/o Jatinder Singh R/o Ward No. 14 Kathua who indulged in illegal Trade of Heroin like narcotics. As a result of this, both the individuals associated with the illegal activities were promptly arrested on the spot.

In this regard, a case has been registered at PS Kathua and further investigation is underway.
