2 Gamblers arrested with stake money of Rs 30,000 in Jammu

JAMMU, February 18: In an act of alertness and prompt action, police team of PS Nowabad led by DySP Hqrs. Dr Sunniya Wani assisted by SHO PS Nowabad Inspr Vijay Kumar while on patrolling duty received an information regarding some persons gambling inside Imran Hotel area under jurisdiction of PS Nowabad.

On this police teams raided at the said place and caught two gamblers along with Rs 30,000 of stake money and one deck of playing cards.

On this, a case FIR No.26/2023 U/S 3/4 Gambling Act got registered at PS Nowabad and accused got arrested.

The accused arrested have been identified as Pawan Gupta S/O Mukand Lal Gupta R/O H.No.308 Rani Mandir Jewel and Vinod Kumar S/O Sodaghar Mal R/O Vikas lane No. 4 Talab Tillo Jammu.

Further investigation of the case is going on.
