2 killed in Rajasthan bus accident
Dausa (Rajasthan) [India], September 7 (ANI): Two people were killed and several others sustained critical injuries after a mini-bus they were travelling in met with an incident on National Highway-21 in Rajasthan’s Dausa district on Thursday.
The incident took place near Padli village when the bus was hit by an unidentified vehicle.
The bus was on its way to Mehandipur Balaji from Bandikui and was parked when it was hit from behind, according to an injured passenger.
“…about a dozen people on board were injured and were admitted to Sikarai Hospital, from where all were referred to Dausa District Hospital due to their critical condition,” said Doctor Sood Prakash Sharma at the Dausa District Hospital.
Dr Sharma confirmed the death of a woman identified as Mamta Vanshkar and a man identified as and Rajesh Sharma and said that eight seriously injured passengers were referred to Jaipur.
The bodies of the deceased have been shifted to the mortuary of the Dausa District Hospital.
Earlier, in August, three women were killed while four persons were seriously injured after they were hit by a bus in Rajasthan’s Jodhpur.
According to officials, the victim pedestrians were from a group called ‘Ramdevra Paidal Yatri’ and were heading towards Ramdevra when the incident took place.
