2 robbery cases solved, 2 held in Jammu’s Bishnah

JAMMU, 31 December 2023: Information was received at Police Station Bishnah through reliable sources that on 8 December 2023, while a lady was inside her house, two masked persons, who had come on the pretext of delivering a marriage invitation, kept the woman captive, by showing her sharped weapons, and looted the gold ornaments and money kept in the house in the Pandorian village area under the jurisdiction of PS Bishnah.

In this case, FIR No 257/2023 U/S 452, 392 IPC & 4/25 Arms Act got registered at PS Bishnah and an investigation started.  

After this special police teams of PS Bishnah led by SHO PS Bishnah made strenuous efforts and with the help of CCTV footage of the area and various local sources finally arrested two accused persons later identified as Kewal Krishan @ Manga S/o Krishan Lal R/O Badyal Qazain, RS Pura, Jammu and Rommy S/o Satpal R/o Badyal Qazian RS Pura, Jammu. 

During questioning accused confessed their involvement in the above case and on their disclosure, cash amounting to ₹1 lakh, along with stolen gold ornaments,  weighing approx. 16 Tolas, were recovered from their possession.

Further investigation of the case is going on and more arrests are likely to be made.
