29 MUMKIN cases approved by DLIC Samba
SAMBA, May 16: District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) Samba approved 29 cases under the MUMKIN scheme here at a meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner, Abhishek Sharma.
The Committee gave nod to cases seeking 6 passenger autos and 23 load carrier vehicles. The members of DLIC (MUMKIN), AD Employment Samba, LDM Samba, ARTO Samba and representatives from DIC and J&K Bank participated in the meeting.
The MUMKIN Scheme is an initiative of Mission Youth for providing sustainable livelihood to unemployed youth in the transport sector and the Employment Office is the Nodal Office for implementation of this scheme.
Under the scheme commercial vehicles are provided to the unemployed youth with 20% incentive, 10% by Mission Youth and 10% by the dealer. Any unemployed youth of District in the age group 18-35 years desirous of becoming self employed in the transport sector can apply under this scheme online https://jkgss.jk.gov.in. The scheme was launched in the year 2021-22 and till date 191 youth have availed benefit under MUMKIN scheme in Samba District.
