2nd round of Intensified Mission Inderdhanush 5.0 launched in Ramban District
RAMBAN, September 11: Like in other parts of J&K UT, the 2nd round of Intensified Mission Inderdhanush(IMI) 5.0 was launched today in Ramban District.
A team of ASHAs, ANMs and Health Facility Managers was flagged off by the Deputy CMO, Ramban, BMO Batote Dr. Gurmeet Kour here from Community Health Centre (CHC) Batote.
Starting from today, the designated teams from all hospitals across the district will go house to house in their areas till September 16 to administer the 2nd dose of vaccination against 12 dreaded communicable diseases to children up to 5years of age.
They will also administer the Anti Tetanus vaccine to pregnant women.
According to Dr.Gurmeet, in Ramban district considered as Red Flag Zone or High Risk Zone, as many as 1200 children upto 5year age and 220 Pregnant Women will be vaccinated during this week long campaign by about 700 staffers of different hospitals of all the four Blocks.
Dr Kour fervently appealed to people to come forward and get their children below five year, fully vaccinated specially where elimination of measles and rubella is targeted by December 2023.
The 1st round of IMI was launched from August 7 to 12 and the third round will be launched from October 9 to 14.
