2nd Special camp for enrolment of voters organized at all Polling Stations of Pulwama

PULWAMA, April 15: On the directions of District Election Officer Pulwama, Baseer-Ul-Haq Choudhary, Special camps were today organized at all the Polling Stations of Pulwama for enrolment of all eligible left out voters.

The eligible left out voters approached the concerned Booth Level Officers (BLOs) at their respective Polling Stations for voter registration.

Speaking about the special camp, DEO said that the prime objective of the camp is to keep the Electoral Roll updated in all manners and to provide an opportunity to get fresh enrolment of young eligible voters having attained the age of 18 or more as on qualifying date and to give opportunities for correction in particulars of electors and also to invite objections against any wrong inclusion in the Electoral Roll.

In today’s special camp, the requisite forms i.e. 6, 7, 8, 8A were available with the concerned BLOs at all Polling Stations of the district to facilitate filling of forms by the interested persons at their respective polling booths.

The representatives of political parties had been asked to ensure presence of their booth level agents at the polling booths to supplement the efforts of the booth level officers.

All the Supervisory Officers, BLOs and Designated Officers were available at all Polling Stations of district Pulwama along with concerned Voter Lists (Electoral Rolls) for inspection of general public and voters.

The Booth Level Agents of all Political Parties, Sarpanchs, Panchs, Lambardars and Chowkidars also coordinated with BLOs to assist them to facilitate the voters.

In the camp, Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) remained proactive, building awareness and activating all their resources and supervising the process with focused attention to ensure 100% registration of all eligible and ensured no eligible elector is left unregistered.

Meanwhile, ADC Tral, on the directions of District Election Officer Pulwama organized Special camps at all the Polling Stations of sub-division Tral today for enrolment of all eligible and left-out voters.

ADC Awantipora also visited many polling stations on the event to take stock of the activities going on under SSR-2023 in Sub-District Awantipora. Similarly, ERO Pulwama and AERO Pulwama organized SSR-2023 at Govt Degree College Pulwama.
