3-day “Nari Shakti Vandan” programme by BJP culminates
Women empowerment was stressed in hundreds of “Nari Shakti Vandan” programmes held in all the mandals and the assembly constituencies across the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, in which the women from the BJP Mahila Morcha and other wings of party, in collaboration with the Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and Self-Help Groups (SHGs) participated to listen attentively to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the “Shakti Vandan Concluding Karyakram” Mega Rally in West Bengal.
Mahila Morcha of BJP organized 3-day programme to highlight the BJP Government’s initiatives towards women empowerment. On 4th March 2024, “Shakti Vandan Run” was organized with the participation of societies and students, which started with a briefing on “Viksit Bharat Sankalp” and women-centric schemes of the Central Government by women representatives. Shakti Vandan Pada Yatra/Scooty/Bike/Cycle Rally was taken on 5th March. The programme concluded with the “Shakti Vandan Concluding Karyakram” Mega Rally in West Bengal & telecast of Speech by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In Jammu District, the programmes were organized in Talab Tillo Mandal in Kabir Mandir, in Bakshi Nagar in Vishwakarma Sabha, Bajalta Mandal at Jagti, East Mandal in Aggarwal Dharamshala, Ambphalla Mandal at Guru Ravidas Sabha. These programmes were led by District President Parmod Kapahi, former Minister Sat Sharma, Vice-President Yudhvir Sethi, former Minister Priya Sethi, Purnima Sharma, Reema Padha, Kuldeep Kandhari, Rajesh Gupta.
In Talab Tillo, Shakti Vandan programme organized by Keshav Chopra was held in presence of J&K BJP Secretary Veenu Khanna, senior leader Sanjay Baru, Media Incharge Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, former Councillors Neelam Nargotra and Suchha Singh.
In Trikuta Nagar mandal it was organized at Gorkha Mandir Bahu Fort, in Gandhi Nagar Mandal at Jawahar Nagar Shiv Mandir, in Kunjwani Mandal at Ram Leela Hall, in Gadigarh Mandal at lower Gadigarh Hall, Roi Morh and RS Pura, in Miran Sahib Mandal at SC Community Hall. Former Dy. CM Kavinder Gupta, District President Rekha Mahajan and other senior leaders of party participated in the programmes.
In Kashmir, similar programmes were held in all Assembly Constituencies in all the 10 administrative districts, led by senior leaders of party.
In Nowshera District, programmes were coordinated by Preeti Gupta.
At the state level, the programmes were coordinated by BJP Vice-Presidents Chander Mohan Gupta & Anuradha Charak, State Secretary Veenu Khanna, Mahila Morcha President Sanjita Dogra, Arti Koul and Saba Bhat.
Veenu Khanna said that Modi government has worked for real empowerment of women in every sector and played a significant role in boosting the women’s confidence at every level. The campaign aims to establish connections with Matri-Shakti to disseminate crucial information about the central government’s schemes and accomplishments, she added.
Sanjita Dogra said that the shakti Vandan programme was focused upon empowering the self-help group and NGOs while also adding Satsang Mandlis, Yoga groups etc. The Shakti Vandan Abhiyan was launched to fulfill the vision of women empowerment and self-reliance envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
