3 SMC employees arrested for damaging traffic booth, assaulting traffic personnel in Srinagar

Police on Tuesday said that it has lodged FIR against three SMC employees for breaking a traffic booth as well as assaulting traffic personnel on duty in Srinagar.

An incident has come to notice wherein one SMC employee aggrieved by challan on not having HSRP, came back and broke a traffic booth with others, later assaulted traffic personnel on duty. In this regards FIR has been registered in Shergari PS against 3 delinquent SMC employees.

Srinagar police in a tweet commented that an incident has come to notice in which an employee of SMC came back upset over challan for non-HSRP and damaged a traffic booth along with others and later assaulted the traffic personnel on duty.

Police stated that in this regard, an FIR has been lodged against 3 negligent employees of SMC at Shergadi police station. Police after legal formalities arrested all three accused in the case.

Police said a case FIR number 06/2023 is registered at Shergadi police station against the trio for creating a ruckus and even kidnapping the traffic personnel in the car.
