4-Day orientation prog for implementation of NALSA scheme held at Anantnag
ANANTNAG JANUARY 03: Following the instructions of J&K Legal Services Authority, Legal Services Unit for Children & Legal Services Unit for Persons with Mental Illness and Persons with Intellectual Disabilities were constituted in Anantnag for providing accessible and impactful legal services to children & persons with mental disabilities.
These units shall be mentored by Mohammad Ashraf Bhat, Pr. District & Sessions Judge (retired).
During the four days of orientation programme, the unit members were sensitized by DLSA Secretary Muzamil Ahmad Wani and resource persons from JJB, CWC and Bar Association who shared knowledge & information for effective implementation of NALSA Scheme.
The unit members were trained with respect to process of responding to cases and ensuring Legal Aid at Police Station, Jail, Hospital, JJB, CWC or other places.
On the occasion, Secretary DLSA highlighted significance of effective coordination with other stakeholders & institutions.
