5 Days Capacity Building Programme on SLDP starts at SCERT J&K Divisional office Jammu

JAMMU 21 Jan, 2023: Five Days Capacity Building Programme for Principals of Higher Secondary Schools on SLDP from 17th January to 21st January 2023 at SCERT J&K Divisional office Jammu. This programme was organized by Department of Educational Planning Monitoring and Management, Academic Unit III JKSCERT Jammu under the able guidance and supervision of Sh. H.R Pakhroo, worthy Joint Director, JKSCERT Jammu.

Worthy Joint Director inaugurated the programme formally in the presence of Sh. F A Fayaz, Joint Director central and Prof. Surjeet Kumar Sharma, Head Academic Unit III. The Welcome address was given by Sh. Neeraj Jandial, Associate Professor, Academic Unit-III, JKSCERT Jammu. While addressing the principals, worthy Joint Director emphasized on the dire need of training for newly promoted principals for the smooth functioning of the schools.

The programme was attended by 37 Principals from winter zone of Jammu Division. The aim and objective of this programme was to orient the newly inducted Principals regarding the financial and administrative challenges while serving as Principal. Principals were oriented about the General Financial Rules, PFMS, GeM, Leave Rules, Income Tax Rules, Pension Rules, Leader Ship Skills, Team Building, Role of Carrier Counselling and NSS in Higher Secondary schools.

The resource persons namely Mr. Dheeraj Jandial Financial Advisor JKBOSE, Sh. N.P. Singh Associate Professor, SCERT Jammu, Dr. Hema Gandotra, Program Coordinator, National Service Scheme University of Jammu, Sh. Deepak Sharma, Sr. A O SCERT Jammu, Mr. Suresh Kumar Gouria, Sr. A O SCERT Jammu, Dr. Rabia Naseem Sr. A O SCERT KD, Mr. Rakesh Kumar Chobber, A O SCERT Jammu, Sh. Romesh Kumar Sharma, Sr. Lect. DSEJ, Mr. Vinay Dhar & Mr. Dheeraj Slathia PFMS, Mr. Navneet Gupta, A O SCERT Jammu, Mr. Parmod Bakshi & Ms. Sheetal Chib, KEF , Mr. Utkarsh Sharma C A and Dr. Atul Hans Principal IDPS, were invited from different institutions of Jammu including University of Jammu.

The valedictory function was chaired by Sh. H R Pakhroo, Joint Director SCERT Jammu. In his valedictory address he encouraged and motivated the Principals to work with zeal and zest and act upon the learning they achieved in the 5 days training programme. Vote of Thanks was presented by Prof. Surjeet Kumar Sharma, Head Academic Unit III.
