5 gamblers arrested in Shajimarg, Baramulla; playing cards & stake money seized

In a crackdown on gambling activities, the police in Tangmarg arrested five people and seized stake money along with playing cards.

Acting on specific information about gambling in the area, a police party raided the location and apprehended the five individuals. The arrested gamblers have been identified as Mohammad Yaseen Parray, Mohammad Ashraf Rathi, Ghulam Mohammad Bhat, Aijaz Ahmad Shah, and Nayeem Ahmad Sheikh.

The police recovered ₹17,910 in cash, believed to be stake money, and playing cards from their possession.

The arrested individuals have been shifted to the Tangmarg police station for further investigation. A case has also been registered against them under relevant sections of the law.
