5 gamblers arrested in Srinagar, stake money seized

Acting tough against social crimes, Srinagar Police have arrested 5 gamblers and seized stake money from their possession.

5 Gamblers arrested namely: 1) Showkat Sheikh of Gamandar 2) Imtiyaz Sheikh of Panzinara 3) Adil Shiekh of Mahjoor Nagar 4) Lateef Sheikh of Maqdoom sahib 5) Aamir Sheikh son Yousaf of Maqdoom Sahib. They have been identified as Showkat Sheikh, a resident of Gamandar, Imtiyaz Sheikh resident of Panzinara, Adil Shiekh resident of Mahjoor Nagar, Lateef Sheikh resident of Maqdoom sahib and Aamir Sheikh son of Yousaf a resident of Maqdoom Sahib.

Police have also seized stake money of ₹26400 & and recovered playing cards from the gamblers.

A case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station PanthaChowk and further investigation has been initiated.
