5 Ramban youth provided Vehicles under Mumkin Scheme
RAMBAN, December 22: In a stride towards fostering sustainable livelihood, five vehicles, including four load carriers and one passenger vehicle, were provided to eligible unemployed youth here today.
The beneficiaries were provided the keys by Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Giasul Haq here at a simple ceremony held in the District Administrative Complex.
AD Employment, Dr. Sushant Mahajan, LDM Ramban, Career Counselling Officer Aamir Hassan, and other officials from DECC Ramban also attended the symbolic handing over of keys to beneficiaries.
The Mumkin scheme, a flagship initiative of the Mission Youth program, aims to provide sustainable livelihood to the unemployed youth of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Under this scheme, small commercial vehicles are provided to the youth jointly by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir and Vehicle Manufacturers with a 20 percent subsidy on the on-road price.
Dr. Sushant Mahajan, AD Employment, highlighted that 831 cases have been approved under the Mumkin Scheme in the district. Notably, 159 small commercial vehicles have already been distributed to beneficiaries on different occasions, contributing to the program’s success in empowering the local youth.
