Jammu and Kashmir BJP General Secretary & former MLC, Vibodh Gupta, said that with each passing day, large number of prominent people associated with the Congress and other regional political parties are joining BJP, as they have well understood that the mood of the public is in favour of the BJP, which is eagerly waiting for the polls to vote overwhelmingly for the party to see Narendra Modi as Prime Minister for the third consecutive term.

Vibodh Gupta was speaking in a joining programme held at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, along with Joining Committee Incharge and former MLA, Balwant Singh Mankotia, former MLA, Ashwani Sharma, Rajeev Charak Prabhari Jammu, Chandigarh Prabhari SC Morcha, Surinder Bhagat, and District President Sunil Shastri. The new entrants were welcomed into the party fold by Vibodh Gupta and other leaders by offering them party scarf/ patka amid distribution of sweets.

This programme was organized under Ashwani Sharma, who had inspired a large number of sarpanches, panches and their supporters from different areas of Bishnah to become part of the BJP Parivar.

Vibodh Gupta said that gone are the days when Congress could mislead the people on false slogans to seek their votes. The people have suffered for decades during the Congress raj. With the BJP coming to power in 2014 and then in 2019, there has been widespread changes in every sector.

The people across the country today have easily accessible, better means of communication and can understand that the BJP is the only political party, which has real concern and pain for the citizens of the country.

Gupta said that the spectacular works of BJP-led union government under Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, have even changed the mindset of the prominent leaders of other parties and they are joining the party shedding their decades of inclination with Congress and other parties. In the last about two months, 50 thousand people have joined BJP, he said, adding that the party is growing more stronger day by day. 

Balwant Singh Mankotia, on this occasion, said that people are joining BJP at different levels in the UT and many more are approaching the party to join. He said that joining of a large number of people, mostly the prominent leaders of other parties, former ministers, retired senior bureaucrats, and celebrities in the field of sports, and cultural line, is going to add to the victory of the BJP in the upcoming LS elections.

Ashwani Sharma said that the Modi wave is visible in the entire length and breadth of the UT and the urban people too are influenced by it. He said that the sole reason why people are joining BJP is that they have seen themselves the practical work of PM Narendra Modi and want to strengthen this party.
