53 GDC Kishtwar Students awarded by District Administration
KISHTWAR, JANUARY 27: On the eve of the 74th Republic Day celebration, the District administration Kishtwar headed by District Magistrate Dr. Devansh Yadav felicitated students of Government Degree College Kishtwar by awarding them Certificates of Appreciation for their pro-active involvement and brilliant performance during BACK TO VILLAGE PROGRAMME,2022.
The certificates were presented to the students by DDC Chairperson, Pooja Thakur in presence of Vice Chairperson DDC, District Development Commissioner and SSP, at a function held today. Around 16 teams of students of different semesters worked under the guidance of Faisal Mushtaq, Coordinator Back to Village, who coordinated different activities of these teams under the overall supervision of the College Principal.
Each team was allotted one panchayat to work upon and cover different dimensions along with listening to grievances of the public and submitting the report to the district administration. The different panchayats allotted to these teams included Palmar Lower A, Palmar Upper, Chamoti (drabshalla), Keshwan A, Keshwan B, Lower Chatroo A, Trigam, Hidyal, Lachdayaram, Lachkhazana, Pochal B1, Pochal B 2, Matta A etc.
The Degree College Kishtwar achieved the distinction of being the only college in UT of J&K to ensure maximum and highest participation of students in the Back To Village Programme this year. The reports submitted by these teams have been taken seriously by District administration and work on some of the issues has already been initiated.
On the invitation of one of the team, the District Magistrate, Dr. Devansh Yadav leading a team of district officers visited Sewa village of Chatroo to listen to the grievances after which on-spot directions were issued for the redressal of the same. The efforts of these teams during Back to Village 2022 were highly appreciated by District Administration, College management headed by Principal Dr. Jyoti Parihar and higher authorities as well.
