5th Day Winter Camp volunteers of NSS Unit GDCW kathua Organize Swacchta Rally 

Kathua:-The volunteers of NSS Unit GDCW kathua today on 01-01-2023 took initiative for watering the trees which were planted yesterday. 5 different teams pruned the area of the newly planted trees on the college campus and there after The huge Swacchta Rally was organized at adopted village changran.

The rally was flagged off by SH. Romesh Kumar respected the Sarpanch of the village change in presence of Dr. Arun Dev Singh NSS program officer of Government Degree College for Women Kathua, the local people, and the NSS volunteers. He spoke on the occasion that the rally would definitely affect the mind of the common people regarding the Swacchta Abhiyan and its importance in the respective area where they reside.

He also said that the NSS unit always conducts such programs in this village to aware the villagers regarding many issues like NASHA MUKT, SWACCHTA, WASTE MANAGEMENT, vermicompost, ORGANIC FARMING, DIGITAL AWARENESS, AWARENESS OF MANY SCHEMES OF GOVERNMENT, AND DISTRIBUTION OF BOOKS, STATIONERY & CONFECTIONERY ITEMS among the poor people. Dr.Arun Dev Singh also spoke on the occasion and extended his special thanks & gratitude to the sarpanch of the village and the local people on behalf of Dr.Sangita Nagari esteemed principal of GDCW kathua.

He appreciated that the Sarpanch and the local people who always ready to listen to the NSS volunteers patiently and follow them practically in their life. He also conveyed to our correspondent that The NSS volunteers who are participating in the camp and joined on the 5th day in the Swacchta Rally with play cards of different slogans which gave a clear message among the people of the village for managing the waste management into the dustbins properly. During the rally the volunteers inspired the local people and appeal to them to come forward with them for making the village a better place of living and set an example of cleanliness and pollution free society.

They also emphasize that with their positive efforts in the field of Swacchta can also play an important role to bring a revolution in the field of well-being of the society. The moto of the rally was to spread the message of Government of India & NSS family among the people. The NSS volunteers raised different slogans like CLEAN INDIA GREEN INDIA, JAN JAN NE YEH JAAN LIYA SWACCHTA KO KARTAVYE MAAN LIYA , HAMARA YEH NAARA HAI ADOPTED VILLAGE CHANGRAN KO SWATCH BNANA HAI. During the culmination of the rally, Dr.Arun Dev Singh disclosed that the NSS volunteers along with the Sarpanch of the village covered every nukk and corner of the entire village which is comprised of 1000 families living over there and aware them about the importance of cleanliness and hygiene which is the dire need of the society and he also emphasis that we have to follow the concept of Reuse , Reduce and Recycle ️and take pledge to make the village free of diseases , pollution and promote healthy atmosphere in the village.
