6 arrested, four tippers & two tractors seized for illegal mining in Baramulla
In a major crackdown on illegal mining activities, the Baramulla police arrested six drivers and seized six vehicles used for extracting and transporting minerals from ecologically sensitive areas in Shrai Tangmarg and Kunzer.

The operation, led by the Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of Tangmarg with assistance from the Station House Officers (SHOs) of Tangmarg and Kunzer police stations, targeted illegal mining practices that can damage the environment.
Police seized four tippers and two tractors believed to be involved in the illegal activity. The arrested drivers, identified as residents of various villages in Baramulla, are being investigated.
Cases have been registered against them under relevant sections of the law.
