65 motorists challaned in ‘Operation 3rd Eye’ traffic crackdown in Kishtwar
In a bid to curb traffic violations in the town, Kishtwar Police in continuation to “Operation 3rd Eye” on Wednesday, December 27th challaned 65 motorists for various offenses, including wrong parking, riding without a helmet, and overloading.
Acting on the directions of SSP Kishtwar Khalil Poswal-JKPS, a dedicated team was constituted to implement the traffic challan drive. This team strategically employed a tech-savvy approach, utilizing CCTV surveillance mechanisms to capture photographic and video evidence of traffic rule violations. The vehicle number plate reading system further aided in identifying the offending vehicles.

Following the identification process, the team meticulously ascertained the residential addresses of the vehicle owners. Subsequently, copies of the challans, accompanied by photographic proof of the violations, were sent directly to the offenders’ homes. This innovative strategy aimed to ensure accountability and raise awareness about traffic safety regulations among the community.
