7 Day NSS Special Winter Camp Begins at GDC Ukhral
RAMBAN, DECEMBER 27: NSS Unit of Government Degree College, Ukhral today started a seven day special winter camp for NSS Volunteers, under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.
The camp was inaugurated by the Principal of the College, Dr. Ashok Kumar Sharma. In his address, he laid stress on the personality development of NSS volunteers and asked them to focus upon self-discipline and time management.
Prof Zakir Hussain Naik, NSS Programme Officer (PO) of the College, elucidated that the purpose of organising the NSS Special Winter Camp was to motivate and prepare the students for community service and nation building.
He briefed the participants about the various events/activities to be organized during the seven day winter camp. The participating volunteers will be given certificates after successful completion of the camp.
After the inaugural session, a cleanliness and beautification drive was conducted on the College Campus. The Swachhta Pledge was also undertaken by students and staff members of College.
Other Staff members who attended this inaugural event included Akash Verma, Shafqat Rasool Khan and Farooq Ahmed Katoch.
