7 held, 8 tractors seized in Baramulla as police target illegal mining

In a major crackdown on illegal mining activities, police in the Baramulla district seized eight tractors and arrested seven drivers on Tuesday.

The arrests and seizures took place in the areas of Kunzer, Shrakwara, and Dargam, according to police. The drivers were allegedly involved in the illegal extraction and transportation of minerals.

“FIRs have been registered against the accused under relevant sections of the law. Investigations into the cases are presently underway.
