78th Independence Day celebrated in different blocks/tehsils of Leh District

Leh, August 15,2024: 78th Independence Day was celebrated in different blocks and tehsils of Leh district with great enthusiasm and patriotism.

At Tehsil Sumoor, Tehsildar Saleem Wazir led the celebration by hoisting the National Flag, marking the start of the day’s festivities.

Similarly, Niab Tehsildar Tashi Jorgais raised the National Flag at Niabath Khalsar, while Niab Tehsildar Tashi Chotak performed the flag hoisting ceremony at Panamik Block.

At Niabath Turtuk, Niab Tehsildar Ali Mussa proudly hoisted the National Flag, symbolizing the unity and pride of the nation across the Nubra Block.

SDM Likir Sajjad Hussain hoisted the National Flag at 10:30 AM at Sub Division HQ Likir.

Likewise, 78th Independence Day was celebrated at Sub Division Kharu, where SDM Sonam Dorjay hoisted the national flag during the ceremony.

Contingents from Police and schools participated in the march past while various cultural programs were presented to mark this glorious day.
