Kishtwar Administration discusses Paddar Baisakhi Utsav

KISHTWAR, April 07: A meeting was convened by Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Devansh Yadav to discuss the modalities for the Baisakhi Utsav organised by District Administration Kishtwar in collaboration with Indian Army at Paddar on 13th and 14th April 2024.

The meeting discussed arrangements and finalised activities including wrestling, river rafting, rappelling, tug of war, beach volleyball, bike rally and day-night cricket matches. Stalls for local cuisine, sports and cultural programs were also discussed.

DC Kishtwar discussed awarding prizes and felicitating participants with organisers and coordinators. He urged army officers to develop selfie points and other facilities to ensure maximum participation. Nodal Officers were appointed for different activities and arrangements to ensure smooth functioning.

Officials were asked to ensure local cuisine stalls by involving women’s self help groups members. Arrangements for the opening ceremony of Machail Mata Temple on Baisakhi were also discussed and directions were passed to concerned officials.

DC Kishtwar said that the upcoming Baisakhi Utsav promises to be a grand celebration of culture and sports and all necessary arrangements are being made to ensure its success.
