BJP is shielding economic offenders: Balwan Singh

JAMMU, April 11: Former MLA   Senior Congress Leader Thakur Balwan Singh &  Chief Spokesperson  Ravinder Sharma  today led a Mashal Rally at R S Pura town today evening organised by JKPCC SC Dept Chairman Karan Bhagat  coordinated by Sarpanch Badri Nath  accompanied by Secretary JKPCC Pawan Raina, Minority Wing head Rajinder Singh Nathu,   Block Presidents Gurmeet Singh,Sunil Dutt . 

 The rally crossed through RS Pura Bazzar amidst rising of slogans against BJP Govt, carrying Mashals -& party flags. 

Speaking on the occasion, Balwan Singh accused the BJP government of targeting Rahul Gandhi to stop him from exposing the corruption of the Narendra Modi government.He accused that the BJP government had been shielding economic offenders like Nirav Modi, Lalit Modi, and Mehul Choksi. Instead of addressing Rahul Gandhi’s questions regarding Modi-Adani nexus, the BJP is  diverting the issue. 

Accusing the BJP of suppressing the voice of opposition  and even the media, Singh  added that the Congress, however, will not be intimidated by the dirty scheme of the BJP.He  said that the All India Congress Committee (AICC) has launched a pan India and month-long Jai Bharat Satyagraha to extend solidarity to Rahul Gandhi who has  been ‘removed from being a Lok Sabha member by the BJP forcefully’.Claiming that Rahul Gandhi was targeted for highlighting the nexus between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and business tycoon Gautam Adani, he added, “People know the truth.”

Accusing BJP of running the country tyrannically, Singh asked how long BJP is going to send CBI or ED to critics.”Even if one has committed a grave crime, one will be protected even if the person is willing to join the BJP,” he claimed.He further said that the grand old party will do whatever it can to save democracy and until all those who engage in crony capitalism are booked.

Speaking to media persons, JKPCC Chief Spokesperson accused the BJP Government of being a fascist.”Indian democracy is in danger, if a person raises voice and questions the Government, they will slap different charges to silence him or her,” he claimed. Every right thinking citizen of the country must come together irrespective of their political affiliation and safeguard democracy, he appealed.He slammed the BJP Government for using laws as their tool allegedly.

He said that Rahul Gandhi always stand by the truth and the people of India against the incompetency and failure of the BJP and all other such agencies which work against the people of the country. 

Karan Bhagat said that  “Rahul Gandhi is a true crusader against corruption. He has been advocating for the people without fear of repercussions. Despite having had three Prime Ministers from their family, today, Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi do not own a home.BJP government by serving an eviction notice to Rahul Gandhi wanted to render him homeless. By targeting Rahul Gandhi, the BJP is trying to conceal its alleged cronyism and corruption,” he explained.

Pawan Raina blamed BJP of vindictive to the opposition  especially Congress party and Rahul Gandhi He said that cong cadres are solidly behind  Rahul Gandhi. 

Badrinath Sharma  said that time has come to raise voice against an “arrogant government” as barring Rahul Gandhi from contesting elections does not bode well for the country and its democracy.His family’s blood has nurtured democracy in this country. We are ready to do anything for this country’s democracy. Great leaders of the Congress laid the foundation of democracy in this country.   “Rahul Gandhi ji is fighting for people of this country, for women, for youth, fighting against unemployment and inflation,” Sharma said.
