Bandipora Admin conducts market checking; realises fine of Rs. 12900

BANDIPORA, April 13: In order to curb over pricing and illegal profiteering, a market checking team under the supervision of Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Bandipora, Umar Shafi Pandit today conducted market checking of Bandipora town.

The team realised an on spot fine of Rs.12900 from erring traders and warned of strict action against traders involved in over pricing and illegal profiteering.

The ADC said the drive shall be intensified in coming days keeping in view of the holy month of Ramdhan and auspicious occasion of Eid ul Fitr.

He urged the traders to follow the rules and regulations, ensure quality commodities besides displaying rate lists.

He also stressed on maintaining hygiene and urged the business establishments to restrain from hoarding, overcharging and adulteration.

The ADC was accompanied by ACR Bandipora, Shabir Ahmad Wani and other concerned officers.
