Gold futures gain Rs 24 to Rs 59,869/10 gms

New Delhi, Apr 24 (PTI) Gold prices on Monday increased by Rs 24 to Rs 59,869 per 10 grams in futures trade as speculators created fresh positions on firm spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, the June contract of gold traded higher by Rs 24 or 0.04 per cent at Rs 59,869 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 15,548 lots.

Gold prices in futures trade strengthened in line with firm global trends, analysts said.

Globally, gold was trading 0.11 per cent higher at USD 1,992.60 per ounce in New York.
