Indian Army organises Medical camp for Gujjar Bakarwals in Akhnoor

JAMMU, April 24: The Indian Army organised a medical camp for the local populace including the Gujjar-Bakarwal communities at Akhnoor. The Army made an endeavour to sensitize them about impact of lifestyle on health, prominent ailments and precautionary measures. The medical camp comprised an expert panel of doctors specialising in Paediatrics, Gynaecology, Dental Surgery, Cardiology, General Medicine, Urology, Dermatology and Orthopaedics.

The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from the local awaam and Gujjar-Bakarwal community from far flung areas of Jammu and Kashmir who were provided free consultation, medicines and Key medical concerns thoroughly addressed.

The community expressed a deep sense of gratitude for the Indian Army and also vehemently condemned the dastardly attack by Pak-sponsored terrorists on Indian Army Convoy on 20 April in which five soldiers lost their lives.

They also urged the government to institute necessary measures to make sure that the terrorists were neutralized to avenge the killing of innocent soldiers
