DC Kupwara chairs  DLIMC meeting; asks officers to aware people about benefits of PACSs

KUPWARA, April 26:  Deputy Commissioner, (DC) Kupwara, Dr. Doifode Sagar Dattatray, today chaired a meeting of District Level Implementation & Monitoring Committee (DLIMC), here  in his office Chamber.

The meeting was held to recommend the Primary Agriculture Credit Societies (PACSs) selected by Baramulla Central Cooperative Bank (BCCB) for a computerization project undertaken by Govt. of India in collaboration with Govt of UT J&K.

Addressing the meeting,  the Deputy Commissioner directed concerned officers to start work on all  Primary Agriculture Credit Societies(PACSs) in the district and keep regular monitoring. He said the scheme has an extremely bright future and need to focus on it with added dedication.

The Deputy Commissioner (who is also Chairman of DLIMC) directed Deputy Registrar Cooperatives Kupwara to do all basic work for registration of PACSs in all 385 Panchayats of the district.

Deputy Commissioner also recommended for approval of  computerization for 22 PACS in the district. 

The DC stressed on proper implementation of all need based schemes in vogue in a time bound manner as per laid down specification and guidelines. 

 Earlier, the Deputy Commissioner received feedback from the officers and gave directions to them regarding smooth implementation of computerization of the records of the societies.

Among others, the meeting was attended by DSWO, Hidayatullah Mir; Dy. Registrar Cooperative Society Kupwara, Zahoor Ahmad Andrabi; Chief Manager, Baramulla  Central Cooperative Bank (convenor DLMIC),Zubair Wasil; DDMA NABARD, DIO Kupwara, Mohammad Yousuf Mir; PDO BCCB, Mohammad Ashraf war and other concerned.
