DECC organises awareness cum Counselling sessions at Udhampur
UDHAMPUR, April 27: The District Employment & Counselling Centre Udhampur organized two Awareness/Counselling sessions at GK Educational Trust Udhampur, in association with NSDC (National Skill Development Corporation) PMKVY here today.
More than 300 un-employed youth participated in the Awareness/Counselling sessions. Deputy Director Employment Udhampur, Anshuman Singh, accompanied by Assistant Director Employment, Priyanka Gupta and Career Counselling Officer Navdeep Kour acquainted the students about the registration process on Jakemp.nic.in & NCS Portal. The participants were also informed about the upcoming Job fairs/ Mission Youth Schemes, Self-Employment Schemes of the Employment department and self-employment schemes run by the other departmentsi.ePMEGP/Handicraft/Handloom/Fisheries/Agriculture/Horticulture/AnimalHusbandry/Sericulture/NRLM/Cooperative/floriculture/KVIB etc.

The team of officers also highlighted the importance of skill development among students for future prospects in solar power generation/mud house/chuna house technology/water conservation in hilly areas/medicinal plants plantations. The students were advised to avail opportunity of the above programmes and reap the benefits of the different self-employment schemes run by the different departments in the Udhampur District.
