Students, staff of GHSS Assar remember police martyrs
Organize Debate Competition on “Drug De-addiction”
DODA, May 09: A debate competition on “Drug De-addiction” was organised in GHSS Assar in honor of the police martyrs. The program was organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Police, and it was a great success. The Chief Guest of the event was SSP Doda Abdul Qayoom, while the Guest of Honour was SDM Assar, Lekh Raj.
During his address, the Chief Guest emphasized the need for creating awareness about illegal drug use and prevention measures. He urged stakeholders to work together to combat this menace and protect society from its harmful effects.
The Principal of HSS Assar, S.K.Chandail, spoke about fighting drug abuse through awareness campaigns and adherence to five pillars: drug detection, network destruction, culprit detention, addict rehabilitation, and zero tolerance policy against drug abuse. He stressed the importance of creating a strong support system for individuals struggling with addiction and providing them with the necessary tools to overcome it.
The competition aimed to encourage students to express their views on the topic of drugs and addiction and provided them with a platform to share their ideas and opinions. The event was a great opportunity for students to engage in critical thinking, research, and public speaking.
