Director SHD inspects activities of Department in Samba, Kathua Districts

JAMMU, May 16: Director Sheep Husbandry Department Jammu, Dr Naseem Javaid Chowdhary today conducted a day long tour of Districts of Samba and Kathua.

He inspected VAS HQ at Rehian in Samba district and interacted with the staff. He inspected the proposed site for establishment of livestock Mandi.

He visited VAS HQ at Channi Arorian and advised the staff to work for the welfare and downtrodden communities engaged with sheep and goat rearing by providing them facilities and awareness at their doorstep. He enquired about the status of availability of medicines and vaccines at different SECs of the district.

At Govt. DGF Rajbagh, he inspected the Goat sheds, Govt. livestock ,agricultural operations and preparedness for implementation of HADP in ensuing years.

On his way back, he interacted with the sheep breeders at Mansar and Surinsar. He listened to their grievances and assured them all possible help from the department with regard to health coverage to their livestock and employment generation.

He was accompanied by Dr Surinder Gupta Deputy Director (Central), Dr Satish Gangwal DSHO Samba ,Dr Anil Kaul APO Jammu Wardwan and Ms Shivali Sethi DDP&S.
