UoL Leh Campus observes World Bicycle Day

Leh, June 03: The National Social Service (NSS) unit and Physical Education Department, University of Ladakh, Leh Campus organised a Cycle Rally to celebrate ‘World Bicycle Day’. The day is aimed at making people more active through simple activities, including cycling.

The Dean Students Welfare and NSS Programme Coordinator, Dr Jigmat Dachen, flagged-off the rally from the Campus in the presence of the other staff members. The Cycle Rally commenced from University Campus to Taru Tokpo and back, covering around 5 kms.

The objective of the cycle rally was to highlight the advantages of cycling and promote the use of bicycles and the participants enthusiastically participated in the rally.
