SP College in collaboration with SKIMS Bemina organises Blood Donation Camp
SRINAGAR, JUNE 9: The Health Care Committee and NSS Units of Sri Pratap College today jointly organized a daylong Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with SKIMS, Bemina.
The event was flagged-off by the Principal of SP College, Prof (Dr) Ghulam Jeelani Qureshi along with Convenor Health Care Committee, Prof. Sadat Hassan Kar in presence of a team of doctors and technicians from SKIMS Bemina and NSS Programme Officers, Dr. Nadia Shah and Dr. Syed Rashid Maqsood.
The faculty and NSS volunteers of the College enthusiastically registered for the blood donation and managed to raise a total of 30 pints of blood.
Addressing the volunteers, the Principal of the college congratulated them for coming forward to the noble cause of blood donation. He spoke about the importance of making blood banks which turn out to be assets of utmost importance in times of need.
The camp was organized to instill feelings of selflessness, voluntarism and spirit of donation among the faculty and staff.
