Support Congress Party to get rid from misrule of present dispensation

JAMMU, June 12: Hari Singh Chib, President of District Congress Committee (DCC) Jammu Rural and Corporator Rajni Bala, visited Mohallah Tiny Tot Dhok Paloura falling in the Jammu North Assembly segment, and listened to the concerns of the inhabitants.

The inhabitants of the area raised several issues like unscheduled power cuts, shortage of drinking water, defunct street lights, dilapidated condition of link road to a temple in Tiny Tot Higher Secondary School, construction of bathrooms near Temani Temple and water tank needs for storage of water over the bathroom building.

Chib expressed his disappointment over unscheduled power cuts amid scorching heat, which has made life miserable for the people of the area. He also criticized the non-completion of a water supply scheme in Mohallah Dhok for the past ten years, stating that the residents are not receiving regular water supply, as there has been no headway regarding the source of water. Till date, no tube well has been dug for the scheme and even no land has been identified for the digging of a tube well for Water Supply Scheme Mohallah Dhok Paloura.

The senior Congress leader also expressed his displeasure with the administration’s imposition of property tax and appealed to the district administration to pay serious attention to the people’s issues. He noted that while the government is claiming that every household is receiving regular water supply but the situation on the ground is entirely different.

Hari Singh Chib appealed to the people of the area to support and strengthen the Congress Party to put an end to the misrule of the present dispensation. He said that the Congress Party is committed to upholding the values of democracy and freedom. It is time for the people to come together and work towards building a better future for all, he added.

Corporator Rajni Bala, in her address, assured the residents that she would take up the matter with Commissioner JMC, regarding the construction of bathrooms, road repairs, defunct street lights, and drinking water, for early redressal in Ward No. 60. She also assured the inhabitants that she would raise the above issues with the authorities concerned for speedy redressal.

The meeting’s participants included Jaswant Singh, Pummy Manhas, Padam Singh, Sandeep Manhas, Ajmer Singh, Bittu Chib, Veena Manhas, Sagar Singh, Bisha Manhas and residents of Mohallah Dhok Paloura and residents near the Temani Shiv Temple.
