PSPS GCW Gandhinagar organises Seminar cum Awareness Camp on Banking Products, Schemes & Digital Tools  

JAMMU, June 12: Career Counselling and Placement Cell of Padma Shri Padma Sachdev Government College for Women Gandhinagar today  organized  “A Seminar Cum Awareness Camp on Banking Products / Schemes and Digital Tools.

The Programme started with the formal welcome of  team of J&K Bank, Gandhinagar including Anil Sharma, Branch Head;   Shruti Srikul, Retail Incharge;   Anuradha, Savings Incharge;  Pranav, Financial Services and Surinder Kumar, Financial Inclusion Dept. from Gandhinagar, Branch.

Prof. Minu Mahajan, Principal of the College, in her address encouraged the participants to make use of mobile banking , e banking and other digital services offered by the bank. She added that lack of guidance hinders us from doing well but the efforts of the College Career Counselling Cell has provided the opportunity at their doorstep.

Anil Kumar, branch head, discussed in detail about the different schemes like Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Accidental Insurance etc.

Shruti talked in length about the DOs and DONT’s of banking like not to share OTP or open any link. She insisted on visiting the bank rather than providing any information to strangers or fraudists.

Anuradha Sharma, Incharge Savings provided the minute details of Savings and other deposits in the bank and responded to the queries of students.

Pranav from J&K Bank Financial Services discussed the Mutual Funds and DEMat Account.

Later, the team invited the students to visit any branch of J&K Bank to seek help and banking information.

The Proceedings of the  programme were conducted by Prof. Suman Bala  and  concluded with the formal Vote of thanks by Prof. Malti Rajput.

The whole programme was coordinated by Prof. Rajni Kumari, Convener Career Counselling & Placement Cell and members Prof. Sugandha Mahajan, Prof. Rajinder Kumar.
