DC Rajouri takes comprehensive review of RDD sector schemes

RAJOURI, June 12:   Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, today held a meeting to review the progress of various schemes under the Rural Development Department (RDD) sector.

Those in attendance were Chief Planning Officer, Mohammad Khurshid, the Assistant Commissioner Development, Vijay Kumar, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Sheraz Chowhan, Executive Engineer (EXEN) REW Zahir Khan, District Panchayat Officer, Auqil Nuvaid, and Block Development Officers.

During the meeting, the DC reviewed the reviewed the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), Awas Plus, Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), Construction of bunkers, creation of soakage pits, and activities being carried out in the district under Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) (SBM(G)). These activities include door-to-door collection of waste, installation of baling machines, soakage pits, segregation sheds and community sanitary complexes.

The DC also reviewed the progress on the deletion of ineligible beneficiaries under Awas Plus. He asked the officials to complete the exercise of removing ineligible beneficiaries at the earliest.

He also emphasized the importance of these schemes in improving the living conditions of people in rural areas and urged officials to work diligently to ensure their successful implementation. The DC also asked them to work with added zeal and in a mission mode to meet the expectations of the rural masses.

Overall, the meeting was productive in identifying areas for improvement and ensuring that progress is being made towards achieving the goals of the RDD sector and SBM (G) activities.
