ADDC reviews implementation of Measles, Rubella Elimination programme in Ramban district
RAMBAN, JUNE 13: Additional District Development Commissioner, Ramban, Rajinder Sharma convened a meeting of the District Task Force to review the progress made towards Measles-Rubella Elimination in the district.
The meeting was attended by PO ICDS Jhangir Hashmi, CMO, Dr Kamal Zadoo, Medical Superintment DH, Dr Virender, DIO Dr. Bashir Ahmed, BMOs, and other officers of concerned departments attended the meeting.
A detailed discussion was held on different aspects related to the implementation of the road map formulated by the Government for Measles, Rubella Elimination.
During the meeting, the ADDC discussed the strategic objectives of the programme with the District Task Force comprising officers of different departments regarding Measles Rubella Elimination in district Ramban.
The Health Department was directed to take all possible measures and give focused attention to the Measles, Rubella Elimination in the District. He further directed to start the process of vaccination at the grassroots level and targeting 0-5 years.
The ADDC stressed on the active participation of educational institutions in spreading awareness and sensitizing students about the infection of Measles and Rubella.
The ADDC asked the concerned officers to identify the target groups, conduct surveys, and prepare separate plans for vulnerable groups.
The CMO was asked to start an awareness drive involving ASHAs and Anganwari workers to make the public aware. The concerned officers were directed to start the awareness campaign at the village level so that no one was left behind.
