DG alerts staff against misuse of Parks by Traffickers

JAMMU, JUNE 26: The Department of Floriculture Parks and Gardens Jammu observed International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (World Drug Day) in the Directorate

All the officers and officials were present on the occasion. S. Jatinder Singh, Director General, Department of Floriculture Parks and Gardens Jammu highlighted the dangers of drug abuse and Illicit Trafficking in the society with special reference to its impact on the young generation.

In his address, the Director General stressed upon conducting awareness camps for staff as well as the general public in parks & gardens of the Department regarding Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan and Illicit Trafficking. He also directed the field staff to remain vigilant and keep watch and ward of each park and garden so that these places are not misused by the drug paddlers for carrying illegal activities.

Vikrant Kumar, Joint Director; Priti Aggarwal, Deputy Director (Planning); Ishtiaq Ahmad Malik, Floriculture Officer HQ,  along with the staff of the Directorate were also present on the occasion.

Similar awareness camps were also conducted in different Parks/Gardens of each District of Jammu Province in the presence of the concerned District Officer.
