What is Bakuchiol Slip? Learn about Deepika Padukone’s newly launched face oil
Deepika Padukone recently forayed into the world of skincare last month and one of the most talked about buzzwords about the brand is that it uses Indian ingredients. Deepika hopes to make skincare a ritual with her new brand. The name of the brand is 82°E and is pronounced Eighty-Two East which is inspired by the meridian that runs longitudinally through India and defines the country’s standard time.
In an Instagram Live with social media influencers, Deepika launched a new product in the skincare line: Bakuchiol Slip.
For the uninitiated, Bakuchiol Slip is a luxurious and lightweight face oil made with the restorative power of bakuchi seed oil and naturally-derived squalane. The company describes it as being formulated to help your skin retain moisture. The lightweight face oil helps to improve skin texture and boosts natural glow in just two weeks.
Deepika Padukone is stepping into full-fledged entrepreneurship with the launch of 82°E. The actor, producer, and mental health advocate, who started her NGO, The Live Love Laugh Foundation, some years ago, says she wants to support a holistic approach to self-care by using science to produce carefully crafted and clinically tested products for healthy, radiant skin.
Bakuchiol is an ingredient derived from the seeds of the psoralea corylifolia plant and the bakuchi plant, and is a powerful antioxidant that keeps the skin smooth and prevents wrinkles and hyperpigmentation.
Earlier the company launched two introductory products Ashwagandha Bounce moisturiser, and Patchouli Glow sunscreen drops.
