DC Kupwara reviews progress of ADP in district
Emphasizes for saturation in all key performance indicators in stipulated time frame
KUPWARA, July 03: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan Monday convened a meeting of concerned District Officers to review the progress achieved under different indicators of Aspirational District programme and Aspirational Blocks Programme at DC Office Complex, here.
The meeting held threadbare discussion and reviewed the progress achieved under Health, Education, Agriculture & Water Resources, Financial Inclusion and Skill development and basic infrastructure.
After taking a comprehensive review of all the indicators and sectors, the DC emphasized that initiatives need to be taken by all departments to reach 100% saturation across the district after charting out a proper strategy.
The DC while reviewing the progress made under Aspirational District programme asked concerned district officers to make top priority areas like own buildings for AWCs, completion of JJM schemes, coverage of agriculture and horticulture land under micro irrigation and drip irrigation, short term and long term certification schemes and courses for skill development and financial inclusion schemes.
Ayushi Sudan asked the concerned officers to get the data timely updated and resolve the data updating and uploading issues so that the achievements get reflected in the various reports
The DC directed BDOs and CDPOs to get all ongoing AWCs completed on priority basis and ensure construction of new Anganwadi buildings on convergence model.
She also exhorted upon the Executive Engineer JJM to cover all schools and AWCs under clean drinking water connections and expedite the pace of work on JJM schemes.
While reviewing the Agriculture & Water resources, the DC directed officers of Agriculture and Horticulture departments to cover their targeted agriculture and horticulture land under Micro irrigation and drip irrigation facilities within stipulated time and increase net sown area, coverage of crop insurance, soil health cards and KCC loans.
While reviewing the progress under financial inclusion & Skill development, DC asked the District lead Bank Manager to get the ATMs installed at Machil and Keran areas of Kupwara district.
The DC also reviewed the Aspirational Block Development Programme (Keran and Machil blocks) and stressed upon the concerned officers to redouble their efforts so that targets fixed could be achieved within the stipulated time frame.
Joint Director Planning Kupwara, ACD Kupwara, Chief Education officer, Chief Agriculture officer Kupwara, Chief Horticulture officer, Chief Animal Husbandry officer, Executive Engineer JJM, Executive engineer R&B, District Lead bank Manager, District Information Officer, District Social Welfare Officer and other District Officers attended the review meeting.
It is worth here to mention that Kupwara district is one of the 117 districts chosen by NITI Ayog in Aspirational District Programme. Kupwara district has achieved 75th overall rank in the country for the month of April 2023 under Current Delta rank.
Composite score of the district increased from 37.8 (March 2018) to 58.50 in April 2023.
District Kupwara has also made substantial progress in 34 indicators out of 49 indicators.
