NISR Leh organises two-day workshop for Sowa Rigpa practitioners 

Leh, July 6:  National Institute for Sowa Rigpa, Leh organised two-day workshop cum  training programme for the Sowa Rigpa practitioners which started today.

Lieutenant Governor, Ladakh,  Brig Dr. B.D Mishra was the chief guest on the occasion. Member of Parliament, Ladakh, Jamyang Tsering Namgial, and Col (retd) Dr. Tsewang Smala were present as the guest of honor.

The workshop started with the lighting of a butter lamp by Lt. Governor. 

Brig (Dr) B.D Mishra (Retd) during the occasion expressed happiness over the establishment of the National Institute of Sowa Rigpa in Leh. Additionally, he stressed on the importance of preservation/promotion of the Sowa Rigpa system of medicine for the better health care of common people. He assured full support to the Institute from the UT administration. 

MP, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal spoke about the importance of preservation and promotion of Sowa Rigpa System of medicine and assured support for promotion of the institution. 

Earlier, Director NISR, Dr. Padma Gurmet, welcomed the guest and other dignitaries. He briefed about the rapid progress of the Sowa Rigpa system of medicine in the Ladakh region and the Himalayan region in general.
