Time to prove mettle by serving nation with perseverance: Kavinder tells KP youths

Felicitates meritorious students of KP community

JAMMU, 08 July: Cele Lauding the Kashmiri Pandit community for confronting adversity with determination for the last over three decades, senior BJP leader and former deputy CM Kavinder Gupta said that community youth should now prove mettle by serving the nation and community with perseverance.

The BJP stalwart leader was addressing a function organized by Kashmiri Pandit Sabha, Jammu to felicitate the students of the Kashmiri Pandit Community who have topped class 12th exams both from the CBSE and JK BOSE this year. He said that excelling in the extreme conditions is the trait of the Kashmiri Pandit community and the toppers of class 12th have once again testified that intellect is innate in the children of KP community. He said that the nation is proud of youths of KP community who have proved their mettle and secured astounding results in the crucial 12th class exams.

It is pertinent to mention that KP students, who had scored above 93% marks, were awarded a certificate along with a memento and cash award. Kavinder Gupta along with KP Sabha President gave away the awards to the toppers of the community. 18 students namely Sahaj Malla (97.80%), Tushar Bhat (97.20%), Shradha Raina (97.00%), Heeya Pandita (97%), Diksha Raina (96.80%), Suparsh Pandita (96.80%), Ujwal Kitchloo (96.80%), Akansha Bhasin (96.40%), Himakshi Vinay (96.20%), Argh Raina (96%), Riya Razdan (95.20%), Ayushi Bindroo (95.00%), Aman Bhat (94.60%), Ritish Pandita (94.40%), Khushi Pandita (94%), Bhumi Bhat (93.80%), Shradha Zutshi (93.80%) and Reyansh Sidha (93.60%) were honoured for their extraordinary feat.

While congratulating the students for their exceptional achievement, President Kashmiri Pandit Sabha K K Khosa asked them to act more responsibly as more responsibility is now on their shoulders to uplift the community and contribute in nation building. He also advised the students to remember their duties towards the J&K UT. He suggested them to opt for those fields which will enable them to  remain in the UT to serve the people of the soil and contribute in ensuring lasting peace. 

He said that central dispensation has ensured two IIMs, two IITs, more than fifteen universities, etc and therefore the region has now got plenty of career opportunities making it necessary for the local youth to be in J&K and help the UT to progress and touch the pinnacle of development. “This way you will also be able to look after your parents who have made huge sacrifices to help you reach where you are”, he said adding that startups are also a good option nowadays and they should also dwell to find good prospects in that area as well.  Sanjita Dogra President BJP Mahila Morcha was the guest of honour.

She also appreciated the toppers of the KP community for their outstanding performance. She wished them good luck for their future. Ashwani Koul, Vice President KPS also spoke on the occasion. Vote of thanks was delivered by G J Kampasi Secretary KPS while the programme was conducted by Dr Sujata Sathoo. Besides, Dr Usha Tickoo was also present.
